Make a Spud Gun Instructions and 3D PDF

Spud5
For the first time ever, you can watch a video of how to make something, print out the magazine article with instructions and then manipulate the object in 3D (!!!) within the pdf to check it out from every angle! Never have the barriers to making a spud gun been so low!

Click here to download the pdf.

Click here to have it automatically downloaded into itunes.

You'll need the latest version of Adobe Reader to manipulate the 3D tazer-totter in all its glory. For mac users that means that while you can look at it in preview, you can't manipulate it there.

I'm a student police officer in the UK. Today we were shown around the Firearms Unit and saw the 'museum' of seized firearms. One example we were shown was a PVC-pipe/hairspray spud gun just like this that kids were using to fire golfballs.

When I read these instructions it never occurred to me that making such a device is illegal in the UK! Seems crazy, but it's a firearm by definition and therefore not allowed. :|
