Anyone know if the film is slowed down, or if they're using a liquid more viscous than water?

The Science Museum of Minnesota has something like this in their lobby. Except it's like 30 ft tall and its a bunch of tubes next to each other that bubbles go up.

I was going to mention the Science Museum of MN's display. Every time I am there I marvel at the beauty and simplicity of it. It's always one of those "I could do that, why didn't I think of it" moments.
Also, that one does mention the liquid - going from memory I believe it is mineral oil.
