HOW TO - Crack a combination lock video


This video shows you how to figure out the combination to a lock, my lock doesn't seem to work, but the comments on the site and Digg seem to suggest it works... [via] - Link.

Correction:
In step 3 if the remainder is 2 or 3 subtract 2 (resulting in 0 or 1).

Hint:
My g/f Atira points out that if you've been out of high school awhile you have forgotten the basics of a master lock. So:

Clockwise a couple times to reset
Clockwise to the first number
Counter-Clockwise past the first number to the second number.
Clockwise directly to the third.
Yank hard.

Thank god I'm dating a younger woman, I'd have never remembered that on my own.

That's not a Master Lock- its an American brand lock.

I'm not usually such an ass about stuff like that, but I don't know if it would work right on a masterlock.

It worked for my old high school lock. Now I can actually use it again!
