Event information: A rare opportunity to meet Natalie Jeremijenko, a design engineer and techno-artist who produces multimedia installations that use robotics, genetic and digital engineering, electromechanics and interactive systems. Her work focuses on the design and analysis of tangible digital media to bridge the divide between the technical and art worlds.

Event information: An intensive, one-day workshop in which participants build simple electronic projects out of found or discarded "junk" such as old electronics, clothing, furniture, outdated computer equipment, appliances, turntables, monitors, gadgets. The Scrapyard Challenge shows how easy it is to re-use technology and make it serve a new purpose. The ultimate aim of the Challenge is to encourage an open and collaborative space for creative ideas and hands-on prototyping. Special showcase of built creations at the end, with David Bernard.

I'm getting a fair few people saying it's not often we do events like this in Scotland and so I'm keen to show that there is lots going on at Urban Learning Space!
