This is not making. This is wasted production. Please try this again when those pens have served fully in their intended purpose.
Of course the chandelier would then be scratched and dirty, not at all shiny and happy.

unregistered - the point is (hehe, ball point)... that you *could* do something like this with a lot of pens. a lot of the posts with art stuff i put up is to inspire, it doesn't mean it's "making" - it's more about "i could make that"...

I would have to agree, the pens should be used, then perhaps polished up and then... turned into a chandelier

Wow, what is with the attitude on this? I think its pretty cool, besides the intended purpose of most free pens is advertising, which means that these pens have served fully in their intended purpose prior to a little bath in an appropriate solvent.

Actually, I notice that this chandelier layout does not require the ballpoint pens to have Ink in them.. Which, means that if you figured out how to do it without damaging them, you could pull the ink wells out of all of the advertiser pens, then put them into another pen as you use them?...

I assume you would take the middles out first, since they would block the light, increase the weight, and tend to leak.
Strip the tops and middles out, then use the hulls easily with a bit of wire or string with a knot in the middle.
Now you can use the middles to re-vamp your run out pens in the home and office. Or find another use for them, like darts for tagging mice with small blue dots...
