"One of our readers hacked a Robonova-1 and gave it the ability to speak. It uses a small Quadravox QV306M1 chip that can accept up to four minutes of audio files that can be broken into up to 240 separate ound bites--you can source sound files from practically anywhere. It's a fairly straightforward mod that can be applied to nearly any small robo" - Link.
