Wind Turbine - wind power for cheap

Daniel writes in with a DIY wind generator made from a roof vent turbine, it's a little unclear how well it works - but a neat idea...

"We have been looking for a low cost turbine to use for our project. All we had to do was look up on the roof.

These turbines are dirt ... all » cheap and can be bought at any good hardware store. Come Spring we will be installing a generator and taking it for a test spin, pun intended" - Link.

Well, would this not work better as a water turbine?
I'm just not sure with how small it is that it'd be effective as a wind turbine.

This type of wind turbine does not work very efficiently and has been debunked many times.

LOL, I hope your generator comes with a gasoline engine attached.
