I don't think I have ever seen it mentioned, but my favorite website, by far, www.diyaudio.com is probably -the best- resource on the internet for DIY audio projects of all shapes and sizes. The community is incredibly technical and lots of really great ideas get transmitted. They are also really friendly and willing to help with just about any project you can think of. Please take a look through the site if you are into this sort of thing.
