Warrantless, wireless, telephone tapping - how does it affect the home-sweet-homeliness of the domestic space? 13 captured telephone conversations - all one minute long captures the sense of paranoia generated by the idea that anyone could be listening in, anytime. These particular thirteen conversations are sourced from a mixture of conversations history known to have been tapped, conversations from my private home, and conversations between abstract people.

What if there would be any 'wave recognition', like in OCR but then it can analyze these patterns into real WAV-format?
Then people can scan this image, put it into some software and listen to the regenerated wave.
I don't know if something like that exist (wich would be very cool btw), but then this conversation embroidered could be sniffed at by anyone.

Wonderful! I don't know if it was planned or unplanned, but the 13 stripes of color reminded me of the original US flag.

Unomi - my thoughts exactly! You might be interested in "the digital needle", which does what you describe - the website even has playable samples decoded from pictures of record grooves. There is a Wired article on the project.
