Stanlo - Metal toys from Stanley tools

Med Stanlo
Stanlo3
Stanley tools made metal toys back in the 30's - It would be great to see them re-release these... From Popular Science 1933 -

Automobiles, houses, trolley cars, boats, bridges, forts, steam shovels, factories, doll furniture and hundreds of other things--build them with STANLO. And best of all, every piece in a STANLO set is finished in brilliant colors so that you can obtain almost any color combination. • An entirely new principle is used in fastening the pieces together and the finished project is absolutely rigid. There are no nuts or bolts to lose. • A 24 page Instruction Book comes with each STANLO set. It shows over 125 different things to make and suggests many others.

I took a whole bunch of pictures last year of different toys (many mechano/lego-style) on display at the Deutsches Museum in Munich, Germany. Feel free to browse them.

For the most part, the placards in the high-res versions of the photos should be legible.

Enjoy!

Andrew.

I have one of these sets in perfect condition. It's in a wooden case. I cannot find another anywhere. Anyone have any idea what it might be worth? email me at ststock23@msn.com
