Cool Products Expo: 2006. Stanford University

Expo New 10
The Cool Product Expo is an annual event hosted by Stanford Graduate School of Business and Stanford's Alliance for Innovative Manufacturing, if you're in the area check it out and let us know how it was (take photos if you can!)...

When: April 11th 2007, 12-5pm

Where: McCaw Hall, Frances Arrillaga Alumni Center

What: The Cool Product Expo showcases the latest, coolest products designed by top manufacturers, startups, design firms and academic groups. The goal of the event is to celebrate innovative product design and provide a forum for companies to share their work with Silicon Valley community. We define 'cool' products as:

  • Ready--end user products, not components.
  • Factor--coolness is readily apparent, requires no explanation.
  • Edge--radically new, not just an improvement on an existing product.
  • Function--the essential combination of design and manufacturing.
Who: We invite approximately 40 companies each year to exhibit. Some notable exhibitors expected for this year's Expo include: Tesla Motors, Toyota, Logitech, Method, Linden Labs (Second Life), Gibson, Lunar Design and Sling Media, as well as over 30 other exciting companies.

Last year over 1000 attendees came to the Expo, representing families, students, VC's, and other community members.

How Much: Attendance is completely free.
