When: April 11th 2007, 12-5pmWhere: McCaw Hall, Frances Arrillaga Alumni Center
What: The Cool Product Expo showcases the latest, coolest products designed by top manufacturers, startups, design firms and academic groups. The goal of the event is to celebrate innovative product design and provide a forum for companies to share their work with Silicon Valley community. We define 'cool' products as:
- Ready--end user products, not components.
- Factor--coolness is readily apparent, requires no explanation.
- Edge--radically new, not just an improvement on an existing product.
- Function--the essential combination of design and manufacturing.
Who: We invite approximately 40 companies each year to exhibit. Some notable exhibitors expected for this year's Expo include: Tesla Motors, Toyota, Logitech, Method, Linden Labs (Second Life), Gibson, Lunar Design and Sling Media, as well as over 30 other exciting companies.Cool Products Expo: 2006.
