Jmengel made a GREAT USB charger, powered by breathing! He writes -

Are you breathing? Do you have a gadget that can be charged via a USB port? Well if you answered yes to both, then you are in luck. This instructable shows how to make a device that will charge your USB-capable devices while you do what you do best. Breathe. Using some parts scavenged from an old CD-ROM drive, a simple electronic circuit, and a few rubber bands you will soon be huffing and puffing your way to fully-charged pseudo-useful electronic gadget nirvana.

Is anyone else having problems with a recent change to instructables that keeps shutting down your browser. This never happened before until maybe just a week ago but I don't know who to contact about it. Thanks for any help.

The trouble is, the place where I need to charge batteries the most is on an airplane. I'm not so sure TSA would let you through security with that thing!

CNC - use firefox =)

This would be cool if it was optimized (i.e. custom-built) and you strapped it on while taking a jog or other exercise activity (exer-whatta activ-whosa?). You could probably put out something more than a few mW.
