Maker Faire a robotics blowout!


Our friends @ ROBOT magazine put together a bit about what you can expect at Maker Faire from the robot contingency -
If you are located out west or can travel in mid-May, you won't want to miss the May 19 - 20, '07 Maker Faire at the San Mateo County Fairgrounds in San Mateo, CA.Last year's inaugural event, a real DIY technology festival, attracted more than 20,000 attendees and was widely covered by local, national and international media.
Last year, robotics participants included LEGO, Microsoft, Geek Squad, Parallax, the MythBusters, Machine Science, the Robot Society of America (RoboGames), Exploratorium and many more, see a gallery of that event here.
This technology event is so huge Super Fine Films will be making a documentary film of it.

Maker faire is a two-day, family-friendly event that celebrates arts, crafts, engineering, science projects and the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset. It's for creative, resourceful folks who like to tinker and love to make things. We call them Makers. Purchase Maker Faire tickets in advance: avoid the linese and save!
