just a note, this won't work on most newer cars that use a serpentine belt. i don't think that pantyhose would be long enough anyway, but combine that with the lack of grooves to keep the pantyhose from flying off and the tremendous extra pressure involved in serpentine, be safe and replace the darn thing when specified! especially before a long trip. it's be silly to have a $30 part cost you several hours in the middle of the desert somewhere!
