This is a follow up to the Easy to Build Desk Top 3 Axis CNC Milling Machine. Once you get the machine all put together its time to make it go. I'll presume you already have some stepper motors mounted and ready to go. If not I can refer you to some resources as to where to get them. So it's time to drive the motors. And here I've put together a circuit that I think is the absolute cheapest and easiest way to control stepper motors with step and direction signals. It works with many of the free or low cost softwares that produce step and direction signals through the parallel printer port. Keep the EasyDriver in mind. A dead simple open hardware circuit for driving steppers. Built versions are available from Sparkfun. I got one soldered 8 wires, hooked it up to a USBMOD4 and was stepping in less than half an hour in python.

I figure this is the thought process tech-geeks go through when they're writing a "tutorial"...
1. Okay, let's make a list. I've put together some notes for me to look at while I make this project. Let's just list all of those notes.
2. Okay, now how do people use those notes? ... Well, fuck it! They can figure it out!
There's usually a missing step somewhere in these tutorials, and it goes something like: "Spend five years learning electronics."
