Read the pamphlets on the link and was thinking why use a spinning weight as a gyroscope when self balancing scooters (http://www.tlb.org/scooter.html) ala the Segway uses solid state angular rate gyros to maintain balance while at rest? Maybe the spin rate of the weight can be varied so that Murata Boy is agile enough to do all the stunts advertised?
