Are you powering the servo from the 9v battery? It's designed for up to 6v. Is there a voltage regulator that I can't see? Any good ideas for a mod that disconnects the linkage between chats so you can use the trash can manually to open the mouth and throw something away? I might also try an IR sensor in place of a nose to know when to start chatting.
