Although the construction of the device was not shown in detail, such a device was used in the movie "A matter of life and death" - starring David Niven (1948ish) - by the village doctor to keep eye on his patients going about their business during the day.

How do you say "Peeping Tom" in Canadian? otherwise a very cool idea. I like the controles for it.
