Check out this awesome antenna wire shooter made from a fishing reel and sling shot. If you're like me, you'll now spend the rest of the night singing "antenna shooter!" to the tune of the "salad shooter" jingle. Okay yeah, that's just me.

I've been using a sling-shot and fishing reel combo for about 5 years now. Works great, and works even better (goes higher) if you fill the reel with some of that hi-tech braided stuff like "Spiderwire".
I found that putting 6' or so of heavy (40-50#) mono on the end for a shock leader helps a little to keep the weight from spinning around a limb and tieing itself up.
