Watch lets you play pong and tetris

tetris_forever.jpg

Here's a nice way to relive the old school gaming relics. This watch by Nixon allows you to play Tetris and Pong side by on your wrist while simultaneously trying to figure out what the current time is. Is that the score? Is it the time? Who knows. Just be sure you aren't trying to play both while driving on the freeway.

While super-cool, this watch doesn't exist. It's just a mock up, and it wasn't even done by the Nixon folks. With all of the coverage, maybe they will though...

I hope if Nixon does make this watch, they do it at a reasonable price. One of the main reasons I haven't worn a watch in years is because every watch I would wear is absurdly priced (or maybe I'm just being cheap).

Wow, beautiful!

I don't like the big digits on the pong version's screen -- it seems to overwhelm the game. But, I've gotten requests to include a big time option on my real-life pong watch -- it'll be a feature the user can configure. I'm currently working on more-powerful next-gen hardware for the watch and I've got a prototype space game running on it... The real treat will be a platform that people can run their own programs on.
