Homemade boom box

Situation - A demand for a portable and self powered audio solution. Two weeks time and 250 euros budget: realistic equation? Well luckily I had my brother sharing the cost of this project and giving a helping hand on the construction work.

The main idea of making a portable loud speaker system like this is to use sensitive speakers and high efficiency amplifier to keep the battery as small and light (and cheap) as possible. It will have only RCA input where audio source gets connected.

Is this a boombox or a portable loud speaker system? I thought a boombox would have its own audio source (ie radio, cd, etc..)

250 euros budget? Wow, thats like $365 US dollars, I think that is a lot of money to spend on this.

Watched the news lately have you? Your $$$ isnt wort a whole lot in other countrys (you know them other things outside the US with strange languages). To get a proper conversion you have to check what the individual parts cost in your respective country. I large pizza where i live costs $36, and thats resonable
