First you’ll want to mix up some glue and mix it up 50/50 with water to make it runny. Then use a brush to brush on the glue around the edges and stack it up on some books so that the book doesn’t warp. I used a plastic bag to keep the glue away from the parts of the book that I wanted to keep original.

I want to make a mini-atx PC case with this idea in mind. I think i’m going to use some old world books or something. terrible waste of encyclopedias I know… I’ll submit it when it’s completed.
Ha! We did this in the cub scouts when I was 10 years old!
I just put up an instructable for making a book press you can use for the gluing. (Although a pile of heavy books is easier to do.)

I used mod podge instead of glue and have magnets to hold it shut, its really nice looking
