Cool (literally) maker kid! He made a snow machine and filled his backyard -
Forest Pearson's snow dreams started three years ago when he froze ice cubes for an ice track. Back then, his mother wondered what in the world he was doing, but this year, she understands. "We're past toys," she said. "We're into air compressors and spray nozzles." Forest has even bigger plans for next year. He plans to double the amount of snow he can generate in one night to six feet. All he needs is a bigger pressure washer. "It's a lot of fun," he said. "It's fun to have people over and let them enjoy it too." Forest said the machine wasn't cheap. ..."wasn't cheap"... I bet a professional ski slope would beg to differ. Also, I wonder how much his parents pitched in for water :)

Hmmm... I'm sure he'd have better results (dry snow)if he propped the nozzle arm quite a bit higher off the ground.

When I was 11 I had the same idea after watch a TV show that explain the snow making process... Unfortunately
in Brazil isn't cold enough...

Looks like you can get the nozzles (or kits or prebuilt units) HERE - then all you need is a decent pressure washer, decent air compressor - some misc plumbing and a housing or frame to mount it to. Something I tried as a kid with the garden hose - just didn't get a fine enough mist without the compressed air. Looks like the nozzles are very specific as well - however If i had a compressor, washer and the space - i'd prolly be trying to make some nozzles. I know someone out has the stuff and wants to try.

Heard last night that he purchased from snowathome.com, he got the SG4 U-build. That machine has me stoked! I board in the backyard before anyone around has snow! Got the SG7, It's amazing! I love those guys! WAY TO GO KID!! (Doesn't he look like Opie?)
