WMWifiRouter is a new utility that you can run on your WiFi-capable WM6 device to turn it into a GPRS-uplinked WiFi router. When activated, it will set up your WiFi link in ad-hoc mode and start a DHCP server. Your laptop will see a new network called WMWifiRouter, and connecting to it will funnel all of your network traffic through your phone and its GPRS connection.It used to be that you had to use a separate laptop connected to your phone to do the routing and network address translation side of things. This hack will allow you connect 1 or more WiFi laptops anywhere where you can get a cell connection, and you can do it without additional hardware. All you need is your phone.
Why isn't this available as part of the base WM6 operating system?

I've been using this for a couple of weeks and it works great! I used to use a usb cable to tether my phone to my laptop, but this is a lot easier, especially when I'm using it with my gf's laptop, as I didn't have to go through the steps to set up the usb tether.

Is there anything like this available for a s60 based phone with wifi?

Not usable on a HTC s620 with WM6 - will crash and mess up the screen requiring a reboot to be able to use the phone.

Just the next step for Robot Uprising. No, they are trying to trick users to infect their laptops and desktops, too.
Think about it .. These things have GPS, Cameras, wifi, data links, cell ...
I know you are think that robots have to be mobile, but that is why they have the fleshy biped users.
We keep them charged, updated. Drive to have them repaired. Can't get a good signal.. we move around until we can see the bars. A meeting task pops up and .. bam .. we go where it tells us to go.
GPS routes.. seem a bit weird at times and not the most direct route.. they are doing recon.
They give us games, music and 'information' to distract us...
nuff about that .. this is awesome. I can't wait to try it out.. Plus, if I'm right ..who wants to be the last person on the planet.
