I've been looking for a quick crash course on the abilities and environment for the Arduino and this fit the bill perfectly. Thanks!

Thanks for this. All I can remember of electronics at school was doing something wrong and flying 10 foot backwards. After that, I was banned from the robotics/tech room and never got to learn much. Now I'm learning Objective-C, and thought I could get into all this via Arduino. I've just bought a soldering iron, some other kit and I'm shopping about for an Arduino. Just wanted to ask, what is the breadboard you're using there? Is it something can just be "used" or do you have to build it up?
Also, anyone know where I can find a "really" basic guide for the all the electronics knowledge I missed out on? I saw the Arduino Protoboard Kit, but I'm not so sure of my abilities and stuff. Thanks if anyone can answer me these questions three :)
Also, thanks a lot for the video; tis cool indeed!

Breadboards are already put together, ready to use. You can just buy them from Digikey, Sparkfun or Adafruit Industries. Here is a link to a site that tells you a lot about different standard components. It puts it in simple, but not stupid terms. http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/compon.htm

this is a great intro tutorial. for beginners, umm, me, the hardware/parts info went too quickly: breadboard, LED placement, and specific resistors? Can you push out a list off all of the exact ingredients in this recipe?
