Design Keynote: Mary Lou Jepsen, Chief Technology Officer, OLPC (One Laptop Per Child), M.I.T. The OLPC project represents probably the most complete example of "design for sustainability" and social good. Addressing environmental, economic and social needs, the XO laptop is a shining example of how a consumer electronics product can truly incorporate green design and engineering while providing enhanced social benefit.Mary Lou Jepsen is a pioneer in display technologies. Previously she was an executive at Intel. At OLPC she is responsible for overall hardware management, as well as display and systems innovation. She is also a professor at the MIT Media Lab.
