Say hello to Mike, our "Made in Japan" columnist

Mdixon-Forest
Mike divides his time between trying to finish his doctorate in Japanese pedagogy at Indiana University, occasionally working as a recording engineer, playing guitar and touring with a few bands, tweaking patches in Max/MSP while wearing a WiiMote strapped to the top of his head, and making and breaking his own musical instruments and audio recording gear. He enjoys travel, and goes back to Japan whenever he can find a way for someone else to pay for his plane ticket.

Mike is doing a weekly column for us called "Made in Japan" - so give Mike a warm welcome!!

On a related note we now have 3 volumes of MAKE just for Japan and fully translated (along with updates for Japan)... After the jump I put together all our MAKE Japanese offerings (Volumes 1-3 and also a poster of Volume 1 - I also included PDF samples of each one).

Make: Technology on Your Time Volume 01 (Japanese) - Link & sample PDF.

MAKE: Japanese Volume 01 Cover Poster. O'Reilly's Tokyo office recently launched a Japanese version of MAKE (a translated composite of articles from several MAKE volumes). We're celebrating its huge success with this limited-run poster of the Japanese Volume 01 cover. The poster measures 24"x36". This product is shipped in a mailing tube for protection. Get it at the Maker Store.

I'm a maker who actually lives in Japan (for more than a third of my life now) and speaks fluent Japanese. If you need info, for me to check something out, or suggestions for links just hit me up. Kagetsuki (a) gmail
