I thought concrete caused irritation after prolonged contact with skin...

It does, but I think that's why it they have a metal insert (besides to provide tensile strength). It's interesting that they don't seal the cement after allowing it to hydrate for 20 days (hydrating for 28+ days allows the concrete to reach maximum strength).

It is probably obvious, but one should wear gloves when mixing the concrete as the basic nature of cement will burn your hands.

Just don't buy them from designboom, they don't return emails...

The sizing guide seems to be off a bit, or maybe I just screwed up. In any case I've been trying to exchange for the correct size for weeks now. They simply ignore emails, and that's after you find an address that works. Really lousy customer service, so I thought I should give a heads up.

Unfortunately I don't know who else is carrying them, the rings are very cool.
