Edison's beatbox

I found this really interesting hacked synth made by "sonofcastille" on YouTube. Unfortunately I don't know much more about it, or the maker. If anyone has more information, post it in the comments and I will update the entry.

Update: James from Retro Thing said they are made by Mike Ford. You can find more pictures of his excellent work on flickr. Thanks James!

Bending Folk
MAKE will be @ Bent Festival NYC April 24-26. In addition to the requisite noise-blasting and glitch-casting, we'll be bringing some select items from the Maker store - so stop by, check out some kits and say "HI" (please do speak loudly, so we can hear you over the collective bend-frenzy!)

They're by Mike Ford

Hey, James from Retro Thing here. These cool gadgets are made by Mike Ford. People loved his beautiful flickr set at http://www.flickr.com/photos/66848520@N00/sets/72157594345873270/ but still photos don't do his devices justice so he uploaded lots of videos to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/SonofCastille
