Way too expensive, but it might be a nice remake project, if you can figure out a good way to duplicate the leaves. As for erasing your hard-disk, no chance.

I was reflecting on that data-threat issue recently as I bought a bag of 6 for $1 magnets at the MIT SwapFest. The rise of flash memory, as seen in USB keys and iPhones and now the MacBook Air, really eliminates the threat of data loss from magnets. As I tossed the magnets into my bag, my first thought was to check if I had any devices that might be damaged by them, but I immediately realised that all the electronics I had with me used non-magnetic data storage.

If only our credit cards would catch up. ;)

Um. Get a plant?

This is Earth Day, so I felt compelled to say this. Why purchase a handful of plastic magnetic "leaves" to stick on your fridge? If you really want leaves, stick a plant on top of your fridge!

I can see these quickly finding their way into the Pacific Ocean.

They both say in effect that a bunch of plastic leaves will help you to experience the outdoors.

In terms of earth day... well is this a joke or something?
