Giant freaking RC plane, with an X-1 hanging off its wing...

B-29 and X-1, nice.

Although technically inaccurate (the X-1 was deployed from a modified bomb bay rather than underwing), this is really one of the best examples of hard core RC modeling and showmanship. The B-29 is just gorgeous, I certainly don't blame him for not doing the bomb bay mods, would have been oogly.

I'd love to know which motor they used for the X-1 boost, I'm wildly guessing somewhere in the D-F range. It's a pretty big bird itself, much larger than you expect once you see the owner carrying it later in the film.

I saw this a while back on an RC site, wonder what year this was?

awesome

Awesome video, I must say. I am always amazed at both the construction ability and remote control skills of the creators of RC planes like these.

One small comment, though. Sorry to be a Nitpicking Grammar Nazi, but the possessive form of "it" is "its," not "it's." Sorry to be a nuisance...
