double post

this post was posted twice and the one with comments got removed, sorry - here are the 3 comments...

notorious -one of my coworkers recently received a one-dollar bill as change which had a big 'B' and 'R' written on either side of the word on the back of the bill.

i'm upset with myself that i never thought of that one during my adolescent years.

The Oracle - Adolecent years hits it right on the head.

No matter how you feel about defacing money, this belongs on a blog for emo teenagers with mental problems. Not on make.

At least the laser cutting money arguably had some make value. This is just scribbling on money, what's it have to do with make?

At least link to where's george.

And anyone else have trouble with the captchas here? It consistantly takes me 3-4 tries to get anything posted.

pt - @The Oracle - if you log in you never need to use a captcha again. recently we changed the captcha to 3 digits (it was 5) which is a lot easier and so far, no complaints besides yours but email me if it keeps happening.

Doing this is illegal.

Title 18 United States Code, Section 333

Mutilation of national bank obligations

Whoever mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, or Federal Reserve bank, or the Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt unfit to be reissued, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

Not illegal

It's only illegal if you do this to change the value of the note, or if you are doing it to defraud people.
