Rowboat powered sculpture
Maria Michails-Posidis made this exhibition, called "Emergy," as her MFA thesis. It's a modified rowing machine inside a hand-crafted boat that powers LED-backlit photographs in the gallery highlighting urban growth related to water use in the Phoenix area valley. She has kept a very detailed blog of the production process. Photos on Flickr tagged with "emergy."
