Re: Uh, how do I get mine?

Hmm, if the giver of said gift subscribed through makerfairetickets.com they may have received the free pass.

(I've updated the text to clarify a bit)

what are the details of a subscription? for one year? how many issues?

Posted by: Collin Cunningham on April 8, 2008 at 9:45 PM

@anon

Get a 1-year subscription to MAKE for $34.95USD and you'll receive 4 quarterly volumes over the next year.

I use the word "volume" instead of "issue" because each MAKE is quite more like a journal or book @ 192 pages with very few ads. It's also a more 'book-sized' format measuring 9.5"x6.5" which is of course better for most bookshelves.

When you subscribe you can also sign up for the 'digital edition' @ no extra charge - this allows you to view .pdf versions of each new issue via the web. For more detail check out - http://makezine.com/digital/

It is an excellent magazine - and I've been saying that long before I worked here ;)

That's a generous offer.

Any chance we'll have a maker faire in Canada (preferably Toronto) or within a few hours drive in the near future?

@The Oracle

No word as of yet, but I know the planners @ Maker Faire are trying to get an eastern North America location - I'm hoping for this as well!

Which Maker Faire is the day pass good for? Just the San Mateo one in May? Or could one save it for the Austin Faire in October? (I live in Austin, btw.)

Posted by: Collin Cunningham on April 9, 2008 at 12:09 PM

@Elizabeth

This deal applies to Bay Area Maker Faire

San Mateo Hotels/Ride to Airport/Ride to Faire?

I'd like to go to the San Mateo Maker Faire but don't know how to get there, where to stay, etc.

Any chance on publishing some directions?
