Andrew writes on his blog:

Welcome to Greenflight EV, a source of information on all of my electric vehicle-related projects! My name is Andrew. I'm 17 years old, and I've always had an interest in vehicles of any kind. I also have a "do more with less" attitude, and a concern for what the petroleum industry is doing to our society and our environment. I want to show how easy it is to convert to electric, and how practical these vehicles are for everyday driving.

Gawd. And to think when I was 17, I was at work on a different type of alternative fuel experimentation involving matches and baked beans.

I love the flames on the engine, though in keeping with the changing times they should probably be sparks or lighting bolts...

Just think! In a few decades you'll be attending a hotrod-EV car show and checking out the pin-striping and hand wound motors coils in that turn of the century classic: a souped up honda civic.

(there's got to be good little short story in that somewhere...)

Hope

Thanks for posting this. It renews one's hope in the future of mankind. Way to go Andrew! (No pressure or nothing for holding the hope of mankind in your EV project ;)
