Waste Paper Furniture

Designer Jens Praet makes furniture from shredded paper. He compressed it with resin into a mold, and out comes a new piece of furniture. I'm not sure how eco-friendly that resin is, or how much paper it uses (I'm guessing a lot, which keeps it out of a landfill), but the material technique sure is neat, and strong! Via Core77.

i would love to know resin was used for this?
i have this shredded paper and didn't have any real ideas of what to do with it. i knew i wanted to do something with it.
This would be perfect if i know what resin was used

Rather than use a resin almost any kind of glue (even wheat paste) would work for this product. The other glues probably take longer to dry/cure than a resin, but a heated well ventilated mold would speed that up. The furniture would have to be coated with some kind of waterproof coating if it were going to be exposed to moisture or high humidity.
