Update from yesterday's post - Here are some more photos of our modded Mercedes 508D Feuerwehrfahrzeug (Firetruck) - now a four-wheeled making-crafting powerhouse. Special thanks to IBM for sponsoring MAKE mobile and Scott Gasparian for all the modding - the first stop will be Robogames this weekend!

Nothing says DIY like a generous donation from the good folks at IBM

@Pwntalive - that's a mean thing to say, with IBM's help we were able to hire a very cool maker to do a lot of work on the truck.

I know, I know, they pay the bills, which allows you to continue doing awesome stuff... But a tear came to my eye when I saw the Big Blue corporate logo (larger than the make logo!). Personally, I'd rather see a plain Make Mobile with a handful of Make logos, that one of you guys did, rather than a corporate sponsored billboard on wheels.
"Hire a very cool maker" is the antithesis of DIY (cool or not).

@AnonCoward - you don't think makers who can do amazing work should be compensated fairly for things they create?
