Good job reusing parts to make a chair. Chairs aren't as easy as other types of furniture due to the forces they experience - and making a comfortable chair isn't easy at all.
That said the stretcher will be in the way a lot - the sitter will either hit their heels on it, or could possibly trip if they put a foot behind it and forget when they stand up.
This is why you wont see commerically made or traditional furniture made with this type of design.
