As unfortunate as the circumstances were in which these were made, I like the idea of multipurpose decorative/functional objects shown here. That chess set is just asking for a remake.
Oi, in the Philippines the children would make similar "shotguns" out of bamboo with the same matchstick and "shiny scraps" formula, although those were less powerful and more like directional firecrackers than anything else.
What else... Oh yes. .
