Resin jewelry tutorial

Craft & Design

Modofly points us to John Golden’s three-part tutorial on making resin jewelry. He pours the resin outside (covers the pieces to protect from dust and bugs) – it’s pretty nasty stuff and it’s important to have good ventilation. This technique uses a paper image as the decorative basis of the pieces – it’s neat, you could do lots of things besides jewelry. Here are part 2 and part 3.

a drinking game for these videos. Every time he says Modge-Podge you take a shot and by the time he gets to done with video three you’ll be plastered as thick as those rings.

There is wayyyyyy too much superfluous information in these videos. It could’ve easily been condensed into one video. Is it really necessary to show me an entire video on coating paper with glue and cutting out with scissors?!

I agree with the others. Good but a little too long.

One thing I have used in the past to accurately mix up small amounts of fiberglass resin is disposable plastic syringes. Use one for the resin and one for the hardener of course, not the same for both!

    but it’s worth the watch.
