Back in the early 1900's a company named Caldwell made a snake-proof baby crib, they don't make them like they used to folks... via BA.

I bought something similar at a yard sale a few years ago. A few minor changes and it makes the best snake (and fox, and racoon, and hawk) proof coop for baby chickens!
