Cylon Jack O'Lantern - There is not schematic in the PDF

thanks for giving us another cool weekend project.
I checked out the PDF and noticed that the article refers to a circuit diagram on "the next page", but the document only has one page, and no circuit diagram. Where can I find it?

How long did it take to make the scanner? Was it hard? Do you think a 12 year old could make this with a little help?
