In the image, it looks like the path of electricity is just through the hand, so it almost certainly wouldn't be fatal (though it would sure be painful).
If the lamp were made like that today, the designer should be in jail for criminal negligence. It's interesting how times have changed as far as product safety.

A semantic note: "electrocution" is death by electricity. So 30 ways to die of electrocution would be... 30 ways to die by death by electricity.
