This is my simple light to sound converter. It simply converts light variations into sound. Listen to remote controls, TVs, burning flames, light bulbs and anything that emits either visible or infrared light.

A portable version with headphones and detachable lens for a few meters range could be even better. Just imagine walking outside and peeking for any "concealed" amplitude modulation. A certain kind of people should immediately remember those ingenuous spies that were transmitting low-amplitude through an ordinary lightbulb directly visible from state border :)
