Fly Plane

Yikes, someone made a real "Fly Plane". Not every cute illustration should end up "real" :( - Spatula writes -

After coming across this lovely image depicting the construction of a fly powered matchstick airplane, I had to try it for myself. Here are the flies, trapped within their impenetrable polyethylene terephthalate dungeon of doom. As difficult as it may be, avoid pouring the hydrochloric acid in with them. They find it very unpleasant, and may refuse to fly for you. Wait until after you get bored with the plane before you decide to bathe them.

They should call this article, "How to slowly torture insects without ever actually accomplishing your goal."

This is sick!

I think this is a great insect hack. I kill flies all the time -- it soothes me and helps me think. Now I can make an otherwise mondane act more amusing. By the way, if you feel anything but contempt for flies, you've never been to Maine.

killing a pest and torturing a pest are very different things.

I would love to see a larger scale done with trained (well treated) pigeons ...

lol at anyone complaining.

I'm sure you've used bug spray, fly tape, or something similar before and "tortured" insects much worse than this.

Also check out her other articles (http://spatulatzar.com), some cool stuff there.

'Cause flies don't die of natural causes and leave their corpses lying around on windowsills anymore, they live eternally until someone tortures and KILLS them inhumanely. And all those flies are clearly still alive because they're not standing on their legs.

Quick, everyone panic and make a fuss because while you're Stumbling all over the interwebs with your monies there are starving children all over the world who would rather you protest anonymously against fly abuse!
