eek!

Brooklyn roaches are as big as mice! -- methinks I'll need a higher guage.

mech. Engineer

I made one of these a couple of months ago. Works great, especially for the little sow bugs / roly-polys that somehow get in the basement. I even snagged some flies and a house centipede.

I built mine with a few modified improvements. For the chamber I used a PVC coupling covered on one end with some sheer fabric instead of the drilled out end cap. To block off one side of the "T" I filled it in with JB weld while molding it around a rounded off dowel. This gives a much smoother change in direction for the airflow and less resistance out the exhaust.

Not insects.

Kipkay, spiders are arachnids.

We have a funny way of using the word "air" for many things in the English language instead of "gas." Take "airbags" for example... The mixture of gasses from the canned duster isn't air as we know it, and is probably flammable. It might affect spiders and insects in non-ideal ways. (At the very least, oxygen content will be low.)

A big deal? Probably not, unless you're trying to rescue a prized pet spider from the top of an oil lamp.
