I have been appalled that our solutions to vampire drain involve more energy-using technology. Sig. Bitti and I have apparently found our ways to the same solution, a simple momentary switch.
To see another variation on the same concept, check out the green design section on www.jeffreymatthias.com. I designed the Sw/tch last fall. I'll give details to anyone who is interested in making their own. I haven't had time to post a instructable.
