Irving, Texas, is the home of this clever sculptural fountain by Robert Glen. A fountain jet beneath each hoof gives the illusion, particularly in still photographs, that the bronze horses are splashing through the water.

That looks great! Such a brilliant idea. Much nicer than all the weird abstract sculptures in my city.

Las Colinas is also home to a completely useless monorail!
It's actually interesting to see the sweeping curve of the elevated rail against the sky.

Reminiscent of Thoroughbred Park in Lexington, Kentucky:

There is a very similar sculpture of deer at the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis by Richard and Billie Lou Wood. I'm not sure who came up with concept first but they're celebrating 20 years.

Another cool and effective use of water in a statue.
Near the Chesapeake Bay just north of Solomon's Island about 60 miles SE of Washington, DC is the "Tribute to an Oyster Tonger, A Chesapeake Waterman". The statue is on permanent display at the Annmarie Garden Sculpture Park and Arts Center ( http://www.annmariegarden.org ).
The statue shows a waterman standing on his boat with a long handled tongs full of freshly dredged oysters. You know he just brought them up because water is still draining from the tongs. A nice collection of photos are here
