I live in RI and work in Providence. So why is this the first time I heard about this? I would have LOVED to have gone to this.

Hi Tom,
The first post on the Make blog was a few weeks ago, but there's still plenty of time to enjoy Maker Faire RI. There are workshops in Pawtucket and Providence today through Friday and the main event is on Saturday: http://makerfaireri.com/schedule/
