Sara Johanssons’s Sniff toy is finally ready for prime time. This adorable plush dog uses an RFID reader, vibrating motors and Arduino WaveShield to make a really awesome toy with all kinds of fun interactions. The video is oh-so sweet and a must-watch. [via Touch]

That is a beautiful creation right there. Brilliant design and execution.
Uberhundsays:
Nice job, Sara. I wonder, though, does Sniff ever experience WAV shield problems when the vibrating motor kicks in? I’ve noticed my own WAV shield will often freeze and stop producing sound when a motor is activated in its vicinity, especially when they share the same power source.
Anonymoussays:
Sniff is SO adorable! Is this a real product on the market? I think Sniff is better than Pleo.
Dorionsays:
It would have been nice to have actually heard how the unit was responding rather than all that guitar…
